Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.
— John Dewey

I love to teach. After studying animated film, I decided to follow a specific teacher training and, as an internship, taught animated film to children, high schoolers, and first year animation students in RITCS, Brussels.
I also like to give workshops, such as learning how to draw cartoons for an afternoon.

Since 2023, I have been teaching visual arts and animation to children and youth at Sask Roeselare.

Ritcs Animation

In 2017, I taught basic character-animation principles in the first year of RITCS.
The lessons included ‘squash and stretch’, walk and run cycles, overlapping action, following a modelsheet and so on.
If you want to have an overview, you can watch the video on the left.

Walk cycle of a fat man

In this lesson, the task is about the overlapping action of the belly. How does the belly move when the character goes down, or up?
