Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.
— John Dewey

I love to teach. After studying animated film, I decided to follow a specific teacher training and, as an internship, taught animated film to children, high schoolers, and first year animation students in RITCS, Brussels.
I also like to give workshops, such as learning how to draw cartoons for an afternoon.

In 2023, I taught visual arts and animation to children and youth at Sask Roeselare.

Sask Roeselare (2023)

Animation

Animation, what is it exactly? Why do we use it in various contexts? Within my animation classes, we explore the diverse range of mediums associated with animation: hand-drawn, with play-doh, cut-out animations, and more. In addition to these various forms, we also playfully engage in learning about the fundamental techniques involved in animation: for instance, what does a bouncing ball look like in motion? What specific steps do you take in a walk? Each exploration enriches our understanding and skills in this beautiful artform.

Visual Arts

In my art classes, I make it a point to show various examples to clearly explain why elements such as composition, proportions, and color choices, along with many other factors, matter greatly in the creation of art. By effectively mixing theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical work, I teach the essential basics of art.

Ritcs Animation (2017)

In 2017, I taught basic character-animation principles in the first year of RITCS.
The lessons included ‘squash and stretch’, walk and run cycles, overlapping action, following a modelsheet and so on.
